The company was created in 1989 under the social name of MAJLU, S.L.; having as trade reference RUCHEL. The Company’s Manager is Amadeo López Ferrer, holding this position since the beginning of the Company. Amadeo López Ferrer also holds the position of Commercial Director.
The winemaster and responsible of viticulture is Luciano Amoedo.

BODEGAS MAJLU S.L. were created following the philosophy of producing wines of excellent quality in one of the areas with more wine production and with the Denomination of Origin: Valdeorras. All the hard work gave its first results in 1990, that year the company sold around nine thousand bottles of best quality white wine. In the year 1998 our wine company expanded with the goal to create and commercialize red wine. We hoped to begin with a production of fifteen thousand bottles, but our cellars were prepared, once the expansion reforms were finished, to produce one hundred and thirty thousand red wine bottles. In 2004 we will produce around two hundred twenty thousand bottles of the Godello and Mencía varieties.

During all this years BODEGAS MAJLU have continued with the central idea of producing good quality wines, to achieve this we take great care of the grapes in the vines, no adding any harmful additives. We take special care during the grape harvest waiting for the right moment to proceed with a careful and gentle elaboration of the grapes.

At the present time BODEGAS MAJLU finds itself in a process of growing, once again. The wine cellars commercialize the following good quality marks, all of them under Valdeorras Denomination of Origin : RUCHEL GODELLO, RUCHEL MENCÍA and RUCHEL GODELLO CRIANZA.

La empresa se constituyó en 1989 bajo la denominación social de MAJLU, S.L.; en el año 2006 se hizo un cambio de denominación social a BODEGAS RUCHEL, S.L. La gerencia la lleva la familia López Ferrer, llevando, asimismo, la dirección comercial..

El enólogo y responsable de viticultura es el Sr. Luciano Amoedo.

BODEGAS RUCHEL S.L. fue creada con la con la filosofía de producir vinos de excelente calidad en una de las denominaciones de origen de mayor despliegue vinícola: Valdeorras. Los esfuerzos dan sus primeros resultados en 1990, ese año se comercializaron unas nueve mil botellas de vino blanco de calidad. En el año 1998 se amplió la bodega, con el fin de elaborar y comercializar vinos tintos. Se esperaba empezar con una producción de quince mil botellas pero la bodega estaba preparada, una vez terminaron las obras de ampliación, para producir ciento treinta mil botellas de vino tinto. Desde el año 2004, se elaboran una media de 200.000 botellas de vino de las variedades Godello y Mencía. En el año 2003 se empieza a elaborar Godello fermentado en barrica y a finales del 2007 sale al mercado el Mencía envejecido en barrica.

Durante todos estos años la bodega ha seguido con la idea central de producir vinos de calidad, para ello se cuida con esmero la uva en la viña sin agregar elementos perjudiciales, se pone especial cuidado en la vendimia esperando el momento justo y se procede con una cuidadosa elaboración.

En la actualidad BODEGAS RUCHEL se encuentra en pleno proceso de expansión. La bodega comercializa las siguientes marcas de vino de calidad, todos ellos acogidos a la Denominación de Origen Valdeorras: RUCHEL GODELLO, RUCHEL MENCÍA, RUCHEL GODELLO BARRICA y RUCHEL MENCÍA CRIANZA.
